Starz is an online service for schools of a type often called a 'learning platform' or 'virtual learning environment' (VLE).
It provides the kind of on-line tools, such as email, chat, wikis, and information areas, that you may be familiar with from websites and social networking services that you use in your personal life.
The Starz service is more than a collection of online technologies. The Cambridgeshire Education ICT Service staff, who have vast experience of working in schools, actively manage aspects of the site. We offer a range of managed learning projects, opportunities and resources to subscribing schools and their pupils - both in and out of school.
Starz now has a thriving community of nearly 200 schools and 30,000 pupils.
